At Christmas time the carriage house of Havertown’s The Grange Estate is magically transformed into the Cobbs Creek Lines Holiday Railroad, an enchanting land of Lionel and O Gauge trains. Each year over 1,500 local families of all ages delight in the immersive, fun-filled and fantastic display of trains. In addition, a dedicated group of volunteers spends countless days and hours assembling the train display, ensuring visitors something unique to experience and enjoy than the year before!

The trains operate while the Christmas house tours are given. Train exhibit admission is free. Mansion tours are five dollars. Donations to support the Grange Estate are always welcome. It is a fantastic way to spend your holiday weekends with family and friends and make memories to last a lifetime.

“Standing by the entrance of the main room you can see jaws drop when kids first lay eyes on the main layout. It harkens back to a simpler time when trains ran around the tree. It reminds us of our dads and grandparents making layouts that were magical to us,” enthused Kathy Parkinson, President, Friends of the Grange, Inc. Parkinson’s husband Bill, along with a spirited team of volunteers, dedicate their holiday season to the endeavor.
