Antique Show Photography: Sarah Lockard

This show was known, for many moons, as the Kimberton Antiques Show and was held on their fairgrounds in Phoenixville. I know because I attended and shopped a bunch of the shows with family and friends for, literally, decades. I recall a woman with an entire booth of vintage McCoy (dreamy!!) who was always my first stop. A family friend of ours also was a passionate collector of McCoy pottery and I used to almost always run into Mrs. Carson at her booth. One of my biggest show memories? The “one who got away.” I was considering buying a Majolica pedestal one year–it had all those vibrant hues of turquoise, yellow, fuschia and robin’s egg blue and was on the pricier side–but a little hesitation after speaking with the booth owner and when I came back it had been scooped up! Ruh, roh. Such is the life of an antiques collector!
What I loved through the years about the Kimberton Antiques Show is that it beautifully showcased an awesome, exquisite, curated collection of some of the East Coast and world’s finest antiques with incredible prices. What was there to see? Plenty! From American folk art, local pieces crafted right here in Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley, English-inspired pottery like lustreware, sterling silver tableware, antique and Victorian-era jewelry, vintage Fiestaware, McCoy pottery, antiques carpets and beautiful textile arts, vintage holiday collectibles, china, glassware, equestrian-inspired decor and accents, paintings, ironware, needlework, mid-century modern furniture and more–the Kimberton Show was a regional treasure trove in more ways than one!
The vendors proudly displayed their unique booths and were very chatty and informative–which I truly enjoyed. Kimberton was also a darn beast of an experience because it sprawled a chunk of the fairgrounds in two large buildings set apart on the property. When it rained or had melting snow in the spring, it was a muddy, bone-chilling mess! But I honestly kind of embraced all of that in the “art of the hunt”–being the hardcore vintage girlie I am–and the hotdogs and sauerkraut were show highlights. Overall, it offered an abundance of kitsch and conversation, unique collectibles with character and an eclectic selection of treasures from generations of the past.
Fast forward to Spring of 2026, and the antiques market has seen an incredible resurgence, in part, due to a renewed interest in sustainability–and a TikTok fueled fervor with family heirlooms and vintage wares. The next generation is loving and supporting this important industry like never before. And, they have the economic means and social media presence to do just that!
As for the Antique & Collector Fair, the show left the established Kimberton location and had a brief stint in Morgantown (Reading, PA area) at a Holiday Inn in November of 2023. Last year it came under new ownership, rebranded, rebooted and is back thriving. Attendees can expect to shop a wide variety of authentic, quality antiques including art glass, historical china, primitive and country sundries, fine jewelry, vintage textiles and wearables, furniture, art deco, mid-century modern, and pop culture artifacts.

Official History
The Antique & Collector Fair has a rich history. It was formerly known as Antiques at Kimberton and started in 1968 by Shupp’s Grove Antique Market in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. It was held at the Kimberton Fire Hall in Kimberton (Pennsylvania).
In March of 2023, after 55 years at the Kimberton Fire Hall, the show had a venue change to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. The new venue proved more easily accessible from Main Line and Philadelphia communities with abundant free parking and beautiful partnering hotels.
This 2026 season the show expands to two halls at Oaks for the first time. The dates are Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th. As the website enthuses: “We are offering a more diverse selection of merchandise for the antique and collector enthusiast. With this new approach we will have offerings for the seasoned antique collector as well as the newcomers to the exciting field of collecting.”
