Main Liners, and especially Main Line lifers like me, will fondly remember World Wide Stereo as part of our childhood. It was a local staple for all things electronics and cutting edge–and often aspirational–as new technology unfolded in an era long before iPhones, apps and social media. Well, it’s back and better than ever.
World Wide Stereo is taking over the former Starbucks building in Wayne–yes the unique, circular space facing Lancaster Avenue in front of Matt Guyer’s popular The Beer Yard. (Starbucks has skipped just a few blocks down Route 30 and is now open in the former Five Guys spot in Wayne Square.)
Anchored by a dramatic 150-inch video wall visible from Lancaster Avenue, the Wayne Experience Center blends innovation, design, and concierge-level service—delivered with the personal touch that’s been the World Wide Stereo hallmark for over four decades. A one-stop solution for audio, video and smart home integration, the new Main Line showroom will welcome homeowners, architects, designers and builders to check out their custom home solutions.
