You are cordially invited to an unforgettable evening at Philadelphia’s Lynnewood Hall, as they host their first annual Gilded Age of Celebration Preservation. The gala, which is black tie attire required, will be the first installment of an annual tradition. Guests will also have exclusive access to the fresh, floral mannequin exhibition Fleurs de Villes the entire evening.
The world renowned estate is currently undergoing a behemoth $100 million dollar historic renovation project that began in 2022. Guests at the September 26th gala can truly step back in time with exclusive access to the Hall, Gilded Age parlor music, 19th-century opera arias and more.
Lynnewood Hall was commissioned by Peter A.B. Widener, who worked with Horace Trumbaeur, the young architect when he was only 29 at the time of his hiring in 1897. Widener did a modern day collaboration with Trumbaeur to design his new country estate–which had 110 rooms when completed in 1899 in a Neoclassical Revival design. Lynnewood Hall is recognized as the second largest surviving Gilded Age mansion in the United States.
For the first time in several decades, the event will have generations of the Widener family walking through the doors of Lynnewood Hall to honor their heritage and the grand estate. Every Gala ticket helps advance the mission of the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation to preserve, restore, and share one of America’s most significant Gilded Age estates. It is an evening of historic and philanthropic significance not to be missed.
