The 116th Devon Horse Show, the Main Line’s most beloved Spring tradition, returns Thursday, May 24th through Sunday, June 3rd.
The Horse Show, or as Main Liners refer to it ‘DHS,’ is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed competition in the United States.
This year Ella’s American Bistro, which opened in December 2011 and is literally right around the corner from the Horse Show grounds, is rolling out Devon Horse Show Picnic Baskets.
Ella’s Bistro pays homage to the late matriarch of the Wetherill family, Ella Anne Widener Wetherill. The Wetherills have been a part of the Horse Show tradition for decades. And Ella Wetherill had a very successful horse racing enterprise—the restaurant’s sophisticated nod to equestrian décor reflects this.
For all those attending The Devon Horse Show and looking for delicious food for your picnic basket, Ella’s has created three exciting menus.
Order Instructions: Please call the restaurant one day ahead to place your order, or the morning of, if you are taking a basket that night. Ella’s expects to be very busy with DHS picnic baskets so we advise to start placing orders with your selected items and party size for your basket starting Wednesday, May 23rd. Baskets: You are more than welcome to BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket) for Ella’s to fill with their delicious menu items. Or, they can provide you with your own basket for a $75 refundable deposit.
