In September of 1995, The Classic Diner opened its doors to the public. Serving breakfast and lunch from 6am until 3pm, seven days a week, ‘TCD’ has truly become a trendy landmark and mainstay restaurant in the Greater Philadelphia area.
First time guests as well as their large base of repeat clientele enjoy generous, delicious, well-presented traditional and non-traditional “classic diner fare” that rival some of the finest meals served in many upscale restaurants. In short, this is not your typical, “diner food.” It is The Classic Diner’s continuous goal to set new standards in mastering the art of a well-prepared breakfast and lunch for the greater western suburbs around the Main Line.

The Classic Diner is located at 352 Lancaster Avenue in Malvern, PA. Phone: 610-725-0505. They are open 6am-3pm daily.

Go there every year before my husband and I do our marathon Christmas shopping day. And we took his parents there when they were in town – raves all around!! and my boys love their waffles and pancakes, too.

I lived in the Philly area for 4 years, and the highlight of our week was Saturday breakfast at the Classic. We were transferred to Detroit 2 1/2 years ago and the ONE THING we talk about is how much we miss the Classic. We’ve tried to find breakfast places here in Detroit that are as special as the Classic; some are close, but just not the same. Great food, great service and best coffee of ANY restaurant hands down. We even talk about a weekend trip this Fall to Philadelphia just so we can spend the weekend at the Classic! And I’m not making this up……
This place has been on my list since I moved the Main Line in June…I’d love a good excuse to go sooner than later!
I am moving back to Malvern this weekend and can not wait to eat at the Classic Diner again. It has always been a favorite. I have followed them on Facebook, although I have been in VT for the past 5 years. See you next week!!
Classic Dinner is great because they have TO-GO. Its quick, its easy and its ready in 15 minutes for you to enjoy! They give you good sized portions and the food has a classic feel with a unique twist
