The Gables at Chadds Ford is one of the region’s most romantic dining backdrops. The Gables is situated on land that was originally part of a 138 acre land grant from William Penn to Brinton King. Around 1745, a pre-Revolutionary style house was built on the property. This was one of the first homes to be built in Pennsbury Township.

Two of the four original chimneys from the pre-Revolutionary style home are still visible. In March of 2002, the house was placed on the National Historic Register.

In addition to their regular dinner menu, The Gables will be offering specials on Valentine’s Day that include pan roasted halibut, braised beef short ribs and a dark chocolate mousse.

With a nutrition background, I am cognizant of the importance of catering to celiacs and those with dietary restrictions who want to dine out and still enjoy phenomenal, gourmet cuisine. Many of our restaurants are offering several gluten-free options with their dinner menus or the opportunity to adjust those options for gluten-free customers. Wednesday Night Whinos, the Main Line’s most popular ladies social club, will host a very fun summer patio party at the fabulous Susanna Foo’s in Radnor on Wednesday evening, June 8th from 6pm to 8pm.

Enjoy free, gourmet cuisine all night long courtesy of Chef Foo and her wonderful staff. The Whinos will meet up, weather permitting, at the outdoor patio off of the main dining room. There will be a cash bar outside with drink specials as well. If weather is not ideal, we will meet in the bar and still enjoy a full Whinos event with complimentary cuisine and great company.
