Ever since Reese (Witherspoon) decided to dine frequently at Plate last summer while filming her movie with Paul Rudd, Plate has enjoyed a very sweet flurry of activity. For those wishing a meal outdoors, Plate offers a full-service outdoor dining area that seats 75. Their chic cedar pergola and café tables and chairs allow diners to savor a good meal while basking in the beautiful weather. Fall Apple Picking in the Delaware Valley

AML sent staff photographer Heather Berkenstock of Belle Vie Photography on an apple-picking assignment at Linvilla Orchards, a Delaware Valley fall family tradition for the region. The goal: take her daughters and one of her best friends (and her kiddos) along for a wonderful afternoon filled with hay rides, apple cider, a hay bale maze, apple slinging, cider donuts and most importantly, an adventure in apple picking. “I definitely felt like we needed a whole day there. There is so much to do at Linvillla- my girls loved it. They have everything so well organized with all the activities. We will be going back to pick out our pumpkins,” enthused Berkenstock.

Fighting the winter blues or a serious case of cabin fever in February? Media’s three biggest bars have joined together to deliver the perfect remedy as they launch the inaugural ‘Beads N Bliss’ bar crawl, Fat Tuesday February 24th. Dan Brodeur of Brodeur’s on State, in conjunction with Stephen Scutti with Stephen’s on State and Sligo bartender Jessica Brown, organized the event as a way to ignite some new nightlife into a business district known for its spring and summer outings. “We just thought this was a good time of year to put something together and bring a bunch of our customers back into town. With this economy, we want to work together to create a new level of excitement with an innovative idea to benefit all of us and that is where Beads N Bliss derived from,” said Dan Brodeur.
