The Brandywine Valley Summer Series horse shows, presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS), will be getting underway this Wednesday and will run for two weeks. The mission of the show is to provide ‘AA’ quality competition that highlights the participation of the local community. The opportunity to include Abby Miller Foundation and the Chester County Food Bank as beneficiaries ties directly to that goal.
Held at the prestigious Devon Show Grounds, the Brandywine Valley Summer Series will be a summer highlight, running June 27th through July 1st, 2012 and July 4th through July 8th, 2012. There is a local day of competition on Monday, July 9th. The event features a full array of hunter/jumper events for horses and riders.
The highlight events will include the Johnson Horse Transportation $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby held on Sunday, July 1, during the first week of competition and the Get Real Get RAW $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby held on Saturday, July 7, during the second week of the horse show, which is also a WCHR member event.
The hunter divisions at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series offer over $100,000 in prize money over the two weeks, and will range from the professional hunters to the pony hunters.
With over $50,000 in prize money over the two weeks, the jumper classes at the Brandywine Valley Summer Series, presented by THIS, will also feature highlight events for all levels.
The event is free to attend and also showcases dozens of local businesses and boutiques for guests to enjoy across the show grounds.
