By creating a diverse polyculture, Wyebrook Farm produces the healthiest animals and best food without the use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, hormones or antibiotics. The land has been continuously farmed for more than 200 years.
This giveaway is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated! Congratulations to our winner Dee K.
To know Wyebrook Farm is to love it.
I’ve been slightly obsessed with the concept, the mystique, the romance, and of course the most definitively farm-to-table cuisine that has Main Liners, New Yorkers and throngs of East Coast elite epicureans flocking to the rolling hillsides that make up this breathtaking piece of Chester County farmland.
And, oh by the way, it is also a ‘restaurant.’
This 18th-century barn on a working farm serves American fare made with locally raised ingredients. (Rumor has it director M. Night Shyamalan swiped an executive chef.) Wyebrook Farm takes farming, and their food, seriously and responsibly. The land has been continuously farmed for more than 200 years.
So, needless to say, dining here is nothing ordinary. In warmer weather there is an outdoor second story deck and a popular patio space (with live music regularly) that overlooks the farm. Inside the barn there is a market and cozy BYOB with picnic-style tables complete with sheepskin rugs, burlap runners, mason jars and, most importantly, tremendous seasonal local cuisine.
Click here to view their current dinner menu.
Owners Dean and Emelie Carlson have created a model of sustainability that is approachable and educational. Visitors are encouraged year round and are given a welcoming window into what farming in our very near future looks like. With the exception Wyebrook is doing it now.
And, to celebrate our love and appreciation of Wyebrook Farm we are giving away a $100 gift certificate to one lucky AroundMainLine.com foodie.

We have been to Wyebrook on several occasions. It is a great experience. You can dine inside or out. It is BYOB which is a great plus. The food and service have always been excellent. Check out the market after your meal. I highly recommend Wyebrook – they can accommodate large groups (it’s a neat venue – take some friends).

Our daughter is a self-taught gourmet cook (former 2nd place in Delaware State competition) when not teaching school, and is always interested in new venues & menus. Would love to surprise her and her husband with this new dining experience! We look forward to visiting Wyebrook in the future, whether I win or not! Blessings for a bountiful Thanksgiving.

Love Wyebrook! Shop them at farmers markets and turned my cow workers who are local to the farm on to you! Excellent !!!
November 24th, 2015 at 9:35 pm
Sure, the food is great, and the farm to table thing is wonderful, and the ethical treatment of the animals is admirable. But it’s what The Carlson’s have done for our township that is really miraculous! The few of us who live here always thought we were a well kept secret, our own little green island. Now people come from far and wide and appreciate our walled, winding roads (so much like Ireland) and our fields, and our old barns and houses. You might think this would be unwelcome, but everyone who comes for the Wyebrook experience is so bowled over by it, they are respectful and appreciative! I would love to win the certificate, because I really enjoy taking my much more successful and worldly sisters and rubbing it in!!!!
November 24th, 2015 at 9:36 pm

November 25th, 2015 at 7:56 am
I am a professional meat-cutter who has attended a class a Wyebrook, had the privilege to have a private meal with some of the staff years back, and obviously picked up some of their fine delicasies that are raised with care. I have always been thoroughly impressed with everything, every time. I hope to get out there more often in the future. Wyebrook is the model for local, sustainable, care-driven meats. They give respect the land and the life that ultimately helps us live and thrive. Keep up the good work!
November 25th, 2015 at 8:08 am

November 25th, 2015 at 6:24 pm
Found this place when looking for an unusual place, near Brandywine Manor House, to have a wedding rehearsal luncheon. The location, and ambience at Wyebrooke was just what we were looking for. They set up an amazing luncheon for 30 people in the new outdoor pavilion, which absolutely wowed all of our guests. The staff was amazing, and they were very open to accommodating several of our party’s dietary restrictions. Have been back twice since, and plan to keep on returning.
November 25th, 2015 at 7:30 pm

We moved to Chester County last year from NJ and love Wyebrook Farms! We love supporting a local establishment that fits in line with our beliefs and values about our food supply, the food is great with a picturesque setting. We’ve gone to a few events there and even had professional pictures taken there with our kids last summer and they came out beautiful , hanging on our living wall for all to see!
